 d Dan’l Steward completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) trai

 went on to serve more than 17 years as a Navy SEAL with SEAL Teams 1 and 2
 , as well as in key roles at the Pentagon, with the British Special Boat S
 quadron, and at the Naval War College. Retiring in 1994 as a Captain, U.S.
  Navy, he spent a decade in the private sector before returning to the Nav
 al Special Warfare community as a civilian, where he served another 17 yea
 rs. A longtime resident of Coronado during his career, he has called it ho
 me permanently since 1997.
