#1 New York Times bestselling author and former Navy SEAL Jack Carr will be discussing his latest book, the thriller In the Blood. Jack Carr’s first book, The Terminal List, is set in Coronado; and a series based on that book, starring Chris Pratt, will air on Amazon Prime Video in July this year. He is also the author of True BelieverSavage Son, and The Devil's Hand and the host of the Danger Close Podcast. To accommodate a larger audience, the Library will be hosting this event in the Grand Room of the John D. Spreckels Center, next door to the Library. Entry is free on a first come, first served basis. Books will be available for sale at the event for the author to sign.

About the book, In the Blood:

A woman boards a plane in the African country of Burkina Faso having just completed a targeted assassination for the state of Israel. Two minutes later, her plane is blown out of the sky.

Over 6,000 miles away, former Navy SEAL James Reece watches the names and pictures of the victims on cable news. One face triggers a distant memory of a Mossad operative attached to the CIA years earlier in Iraq--a woman with ties to the intelligence services of two nations...a woman Reece thought he would never see again.

Reece enlists friends new and old across the globe to track down her killer, unaware that he may be walking into a deadly trap.

This program is free and seating is general-admission; however, if you would like to pre-order a book and get priority seating, please call Warwicks at 858-454-0347.  Doors will open for this event at 6:30pm.
