A young adult with a promising career at a major New York newspaper, Susannah Cahalan wakes up one day to find herself strapped to a hospital bed. She is unable to move or speak and is considered violent and psychotic.

Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness is Susannah's memoir of the period of her life where she suffered an illness that made her life spiral out of control into madness, and the almost-missed diagnosis that saved her life.

Through Their Eyes Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
