Come learn how a book is made with George Hoqqanen! Get an in-person introduction to the materials and tools used in bookbinding, and watch a demonstration of completing a cased-in binding. Afterwards, you'll have the chance to create your own bound copy of a public-domain short story to take home by practicing a simple saddle-stitch binding technique.
Registration is required to attend this workshop, and spaces are limited. Each person must register individually. If you have multiple people in your group, please ensure that each person completes their own registration.
George is a writer, bookbinder, and arts community organizer based in San Diego. He teaches writing and bookbinding, and runs community events through the Aesthetic Development Group. He's practicing encouraging the artist in each person he meets. Find more about George at https://hoqqanen.com
