Event Details

If you read about the Great Pacific Garbage patch in "Consider the Octopus" and want to know how you can help researchers studying trash in the ocean, join the Library for this Community Science project. Library staff will be at the beach with pickers and buckets showing people how to use the Marine Debris Tracker App to collect trash and data for researchers at the same time. 

Teens who participate can earn volunteer hours for their time spent collecting and reporting.
