Event Details

The Coronado Public Library is partnering with the Coronado Art Association (CAA) to feature the work of seven Island artists in the new exhibition, “The Island Art and Storybook Show” in the Spreckels Reading Room. The exhibit celebrates the CAA’s 75th anniversary.

The artists whose work is featured in the show are Tina Christiansen, Mary Hale, Teresa Espaniola, Adrienne McCullough, Connie Spitzer, Jim Nix, and Jean Pierre Marques.

The reception will feature Coronado Arts Commissioner Marcus Echols Booth on the piano. The artists will give away a limited number of free tickets for small-group art classes coming to the Library in the near future. These classes are: “Wild Child Abstract Expressionist Painting in Acrylic” by self-described art exhibitionist Tina Christensen; “Zen Master Meditation and Abstract Acrylic Ink Painting” with Jean Pierre Marques; and “Porcelain Painting” with Mary Hale. To win, you must be present at the reception.

The Island Art and Storybook Show will run through August 15.
