Month of the Military Child: Poem Submissions Due

Children in 2nd through 5th grade are invited to write a poem in honor of the Month of the Military Child. Maybe you belong to a military family. Or maybe your good friend belongs to a military family. Maybe you want to show your appreciation for what it means to be a military child. Email submissions to kgraham@coronado.ca.us by this date. 

All entries will be displayed in the Children's Library and winners in each grade will be announced by Silver Strand Elementary School principal Jenny Moore, Village Elementary School Principal Heidi Bergener, and Naval Base Coronado School Liaison Mindy Hayes during a virtual ceremony on April 27. Register at cplevents.org. Medals will be distributed to the winners, who will also have the opportunity to read their poems aloud!
