Aprile! A spring celebration of the Italian song.

Soprano Gabriella Rodmac is coming all the way from Italy to her native San Diego to pay tribute to one of Italy’s most beloved composers: Francesco Paolo Tosti. Tosti is in many ways considered the father of the contemporary song as well as one of the most romantic composers of his time. It is no wonder he was a close friend and collaborator to opera titans Puccini and Verdi. Gabriella is making her second appearance in the city of Coronado where she previously performed to a sold out house in The Season’s of Love: Le Stagioni dell’Amore at the John D. Spreckels Center. She recently sang the role of Serafina in Donizetti’s Il Campanello in Los Angeles and is currently on the singer roster at Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, one of Italy’s leading opera theatres.
