Program Description

Event Details

Calling all 4th and 5th graders who are hungry for the chance to connect and talk books! That is what the Page Turners Book Club is all about. Reading the selected book is not required. Your favorite librarians, Coronado Library's Katia Graham and Village Elementary's Amy Statezny will take turns moderating each session. Kids will also have the opportunity to take turns cohosting the program! A volunteer participant will be selected to read the first chapter of each book.

This month's book will be Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, a story about a gutsy fifth-grader with cerebral palsy, whose active mind is unleashed when she gets a computer to communicate. Future selections will include different genres and titles that spark discussions about diversity, inclusion, and other issues participants are interested in.

Registration is available below. A Zoom link will be sent out to registrants a day prior to the event. Participants will be able to vote for future reads at the end of each book club meeting.
