Program Description

Event Details

Calling all 4th and 5th graders who are hungry for the chance to connect and talk books! That is what the Page Turners Book Club is all about. Reading the selected book is not required. Your favorite librarians will take turns moderating each session. A volunteer participant will be selected to read the first chapter of each book.

This month's book will be this year's Newbery Medal winner! We will discuss When You Trap a Tiger by Tae Keller, a story about a biracial girl who learns about her heritage when her family moves in with her Korean grandmother. Future selections will include different genres and titles that spark discussions about diversity, inclusion, and other issues participants are interested in. Reading the book is not required!

Registration is available below. A Zoom link will be sent out to registrants the day of the event. Participants will be able to vote for future reads at the end of each book club meeting.
