Join Coronado porcelain artist Mary Hale in a free class for beginning porcelain painters. View her works of porcelain art on display now in the Spreckels Reading room and art gallery. This class is an introduction to fine-art porcelain painting for beginners and includes all materials. Wear a smock or old T-shirt over your street clothing for this class. Students' works of art on porcelain will be fired in Hale's kiln and can be picked up at her studio the week after the class.

This type of painting uses solvents and will be done in the Winn Room in a small class setting of no more than eight artists. Students with sensitivities to the fumes of oil painting materials should not attend this class. This class is for ages 18 and up. Class space is limited and registration is required.

Hale is President of the Coronado Art Association and past president of the Los Angeles Porcelain Painting Society.

This class is sponsored by the Coronado Art Association as a public service celebrating its 75th anniversary,
