Program Description

Event Details

May is Mental Wellness Month, and Safe Harbor is presenting a speaker series on mental-health topics. On May 10, it's Student Resiliency. Please note that this is the only program in the series that starts at 6 p.m. rather than 6:30 and is on Zoom only; the others start at 6:30 and are in the Winn Room.

The intention of the presentation is to provide parents and caregivers with the answers to the following questions:

  • What is resilience?

  • How can parents better support children, and themselves, in becoming more resilient?

  • Why, especially in this day and age, is building resilience important?

The speaker is Dr. Katherine Williams, a CenterExpert psychologist at Rady Children’s Hospital. She is seasoned in direct client/patient care, clinical supervision, and program development.
