Join San Diego Zoo Global Press director and author Georgeanne Irvine as she reads Karen's Heart: The True Story of a Brave Orangutan. Via Zoom, Irvine will share this incredible story of Karen, an orangutan whose brave journey through heart surgery touched the hearts of everyone around her. Irvine's Hope & Inspiration collection of books are true stories about Zoo and Safari Park animals that have overcome challenges in their lives. They help connect children to wildlife and teach empathy.
