Second Saturday Art Class for Kids!

The Coronado Public Library reprises its monthly art class for kids, to be held the second Saturday of each month. Children of all ages are welcome. Instructor Rebekah Kobs will present the art lessons, including a bit of art history in each one. Registration is required. Please register children only; one parent can accompany each child, but parents do not need to register. 

For the January 8 kickoff class, Rebekah will focus on the pointillism painting technique, showcasing the art of Georges Seurat. 

About the instructor: 

An artist from the time she could hold a pencil, Rebekah has taken and taught multiple art classes. She holds a degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. A Navy veteran, Rebekah traveled abroad with the military and took the opportunity to learn from those destinations' techniques in their art as inspiration. Her mediums vary depending on the piece, though acrylic, oil, and chalk are a few of her favorites. She  lives in Coronado with her husband and children and her most recent work can be seen at Village Elementary, Liberty Station, and a series coming soon to Emerald C Gallery in town. She is passionate about inspiring children and adults by cultivating their desire to pursue art.
