The Coronado Public Library invites you to join us virtually on Monday, November 9 at 11 a.m. as we look behind the scenes at the legacy of John Diedrich Spreckels with historian Dr. Sandra Bonura, author of the biography, Empire Builder: John D. Spreckels and the Making of San Diego. Our Spreckels in Coronado talk will introduce the audience to the man who almost singlehandedly built our city after building empires in sugar, shipping, transportation, and construction up and down California and across the Pacific.
