Villa-Lobos Festival Prelude Concert: "The Origins of Bachianas Brasilieras"

Cellist Lars Hoefs and pianist Aline Alves, visiting Southern California from Brazil presenting their Villa-Lobos Festival, play music by Villa-Lobos and other Latin American composers in this, the first of three Coronado concerts. The concert will introduce audiences to the music of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and explore the origins of his most popular works, "Bachianas Brasilieras," which combine the influence of Bach with the popular and traditional music of Brazil. 

This concert is free and no reservations are required. Seating is first-come, first-served, general admission.
