Call Me American is a memoir by Abdi Nor Iftin. Born in Mogadishu, Somalia, Abdi always loved United States culture. In an amazing stroke of luck, Abdi won entrance to the U.S. in the annual visa lottery, though his route to America did not come easily. Call Me American is his story. Parts of Abdi's story was first heard on This American Life podcast and BBC.

Through Their Eyes Book Club is a biography and memoir book club that meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
