Join the Library for our Autumn Concert Series Friday's from September 3 to November 5th. Each concert will begin at 1 p.m. in the Winn Room. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the performance. All performances will also be livestreamed on the Library’s Facebook Page.

On Friday, October 15 Indonesian born pianist, Ines Irawati, will perform the exuberant Schubert's Wanderer Fantasy, the poetic Chopin's Polonaise-Fantaisie, and Rachmaninoff's exciting transcriptions of Kreisler's pieces.

Ines Irawati, pianist, is known for her expressivity, virtuosity, and versatility, and is in demand both as a solo recitalist and a collaborative pianist.  Born in Indonesia, Ms. Irawati has performed all over Asia, such as in Singapore, Sri Lanka and Japan.  She has performed with NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo as part of the International UNICEF Benefit.  She recently served as the music and artistic director of San Diego Opera's Young Artist Training Program as well as its community outreach concert series, Opera Exposed!, and was the head vocal coach and collaborative piano faculty at Point Loma Nazarene University for many years.  Her past engagements include performances with Art of Élan, with members of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra,  Musikamar chamber concerts, and a chamber recital in Cecut, Tijuana. She performed for TEDxSan Diego at Copley Symphony Hall, as well as a collaboration with jazz pianist, Danny Green.  As a director, Ms. Irawati served as the music and stage director of San Diego Opera’s production of the children’s opera, Seymour Barab’s Little Red Riding Hood.  She is the founding member of the Southern California based piano trio, the Aviara Trio.  In addition to her performing career, Ms Irawati founded MusiKamar, a chamber music series which brings exquisite chamber music concerts into smaller and intimate spaces.  www.inesirawati.com
