The Coronado Public Library's Best of the Best Book Club meets regularly on the 4th Wednesday of each month to discuss books that have won major awards. Receive reminder emails about our meeting by registering below. Registration is not required.
For our August meeting, we will discuss the 2011 Orange Prize winner The Tiger's Wife by Téa Obreht, a novel that mythologizes Yugoslavia's history in a graceful commingling of contemporary realism and village legend.

About Téa Obreht
Téa Obreht’s debut novel, The Tiger’s Wife, won the 2011 Orange Prize for Fiction and was an international bestseller. Her work has appeared in The Best American Short Stories, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Harper’s Magazine, and Zoetrope: All-Story, among many others. Originally from the former Yugoslavia, she now lives in New York with her husband and teaches at Hunter College.
