Go beyond the basics of the English style of knitting in this five-week course taught by Ann de la Torre for those who have taken introductory knitting and are ready for the next step. All materials provided. Drop-in; no registration. Syllabus is below - current class date noted by italic font.

Syllabus: 

Class 1: Discuss and practice different stitches (garter, stockinette, rib, seed, moss, sand, Andalusian, and garter-ribbing)

Class 2. Practice different patterns with knit-purl stitches (broken rib, triangles, pyramids, woven squares)

Class 3. Different design patterns (boat, heart and also tree and owl [uses crossover])

Class 4: Discuss and practice different cables ( single, double or mated, and three strand cable) 

Class 5. Practice cable motifs ( cable twist, woven cables) , discuss design for own creations i.e. blanket or sweater.
