Who were the Jews who came to the edge of the world to build a new American city? What kind of community did they build on the bay? How did California culture impact these Jewish settlers, and how did they, in turn, impact the creation of California? In this final lecture of the 2022-2023 Mandelbaum Family Lecture Series, led by Dr. Joellyn Zollman, we will examine the Jewish history and heritage of San Francisco - the Golden Gate to the Golden State.
