Event Details

Learn the basics of the English style of knitting in this five-week course taught by Ann de la Torre. All materials provided. Class size is limited to 8-10 people, so registration is required. Please register for the course only if you can attend all five sessions, as each class builds on the skills learned in previous classes. One registration per person, please. 

Syllabus: 

September 1: cast on; knit stitch

September 8: yarn gauge; knitting a sample

September 15: purl stitch; bind off

September 22: names of different stitches; recognize most common mistakes

September 29: increase and decrease stitches
