The Navy CYP Silver Strand Youth Center is happy to participate in the 2025-26 BGCA National Arts Contest. 

Pets are fun, but a lot of work! Make your own unique rock pet to take home or leave around Coronado for another friend to find. 

Celebrate Black History Month by learning about Katherine Johnson who was a mathematician at NASA during the Space Race.

Cut & Paste: Make analog art with discarded Library materials! Make a collage, a smash book, a scrap book, a zine, a Valentine's card! Freeform arts and crafts with supplies and SNACKS provided by the Library.

Saturday Art Class for Kids takes place twice a month. Starting in January, it will take place from  11a.m. to 12p.m. in the Ruby Room.

Join the Library and the office of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at a one day "Arts in the Military" exhibit.

Come play with some clay! This bimonthly program provides two chances to create a work of art using quick dry clay. This month, Ms. Wendy will be guiding you in creating a Horse.*

Do you like both, arts and science? Then this is the perfect activity for you! We will create beautiful marbled paper cards and practice science at the same time! The only materials you need are shaving cream and paint!

Feeling crafty? Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for arts and crafts.

Construct, craft, and create at our twice-monthly S.T.E.A.M. activity for teens! This in-person program takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 3:30 pm.

Come join the Library every second Thursday at 11am! Little Explorers will provide hands on activities to promote early childhood development and sensory skills. Geared towards babies- 4 years old with a parent or caregiver.

Come enjoy a magical free play zone at the Library! The Play Fairy will create an open-ended play land for children of all ages.

Love is in the air, but plain paper valentines are boring! Make valentines buttons to dazzle your friends, someone special, or yourself! 

Celebrate President's Day by making penny spinners with us! A penny spinner is essentially a spinning top, but it’s also a neat way to explore STEM and learn about spinning forces with this handmade toy.
