Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents FILM FORUM CORONADO, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library's Winn Room. Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.

January 21: The Last of Sheila (1973, PG, 120min)

Composer Stephen Sondheim and actor Anthony Perkins crafted a deliciously bitchy little bonbon that takes assault on Hollywood secrets. A nasty producer (James Coburn) lures a sordid group of friends to holiday on his yacht— aiming to unmask one of them as the hit-and-run killer of his wife Sheila. The star-studded cast includes James Mason, Dyan Cannon, Richard Benjamin, Racquel Welch and Joan Hackett.
