FILM FORUM CORONADO: "Hail Caesar!"

Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents FILM FORUM CORONADO, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library's Winn Room. Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.

March 4: Hail Caesar! (2016, PG-13, 106 min)

Joel and Ethan Coen conjure up a razzle dazzle, deliriously clever take  on the factory of dreams— Hollywood. A lowly, religious showbiz fixer (Josh Brolin) must save the day when a star (George Clooney) is kidnapped by Communists and held for ransom. The star-studded cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.
